Puff Pastry Snowflake

This is one of my favorite things to make during the holidays. It's always a hit! But, even better than that it's easy, quick and budget-friendly. I always have puff pastry in the freezer especially for those unexpected moments when I need to make something quick or bring to a gathering.

You can make this snowflake sweet or savory. I wanted to add powdered sugar on the top so I made mine sweet. I found a wild lemon fig marmalade new it would be perfect for this. To make it a sweet and salt treat add crumbled bacon to the filling. No seriously, AMAZING!

Ingredients:
2 Puff Pastry Sheets
Wild Lemon Fig Marmalade
1 Egg for egg wash
Powdered Sugar
Parchment Paper

Instructions:
Thaw puff pastry sheets in the frighted. If you don't have time for that, thaw on counter. Make sure the sheets are soft enough to open and won't break, but not too soft that they are mushy.

Line a bake tray with parchment paper and open one puff pastry sheet. Spread marmalade on the one sheet, then cover with the other sheet. Make 16 cuts into the puff pastry (I used a pizza cutter to cut into sheets), then twist the sections to create the snowflake. Brush with egg wash and bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 15-18 minutes. (Check the baking instructions on your brand of puff pastry). Sprinkle with powdered sugar and Enjoy.
