So here's the thing. I love decorating a fireplace for all the holidays, especially during fall and winter. It's the perfect time to bring out all the festive home decor pieces. Wouldn't you know it since my husband has been in the Army we have not had a house with a fireplace. I finally said that's it, we need a home with a fireplace. No, we didn't move. Instead I built a faux fireplace that we can take with us wherever the military sends us.
